District Commissioner Search

Three Towns District is searching for a new District Commissioner, or DC Team.

The Scout District, the people who support your local Scout Group is seeking an individual or a team of adults with energy and enthusiasm to lead them in the role of District Commissioner. The District Commissioner is the volunteer area manager who leads the District Team in supporting the local Scout Groups so that the young people get the best quality scouting they can. This role suits both an individual and also role share with a team of 2 or 3 people.

What’s in it for you?
You will know that you are making a difference to the young people and the adults within the District. Scouting is flexible and this role is open to role share within a small team. The DC or Team DC will be working with an existing team of adults to ensure events are safe and well planned. The skills that you will use as a District Commissioner, such as Leadership, can enhance your CV and can be a great way to demonstrate to prospective employers that you have additional skills.

As members of the District this is your chance to choose who you want to be the next DC, who do you think will make a great leader. We are looking for adults who want to make a difference in their local community, someone who has enthusiasm and enjoys working with adults.
