Our New District Name Earlier this year, we began the process of changing our district name to ensure we are recognisable not only to ourselves, but to everyone, everywhere. We are excited to announce that over the summer, Three Towns will officially become Stoke-on-Trent South!

The District Leadership team chose this name for several key reasons:

  • Clarity: It clearly states exactly where we are and tells everyone which area we cover.
  • Youth-Led: We received valuable input from our young people regarding our district identity.
  • Inclusivity: Our district covers groups well beyond Stoke, Longton, and Fenton. We have groups in Blythe Bridge, Caverswall, Dresden, Hartshill, Parkhall, Sea Scouts, St Johns Heron Cross, and Trentham. This new name encompasses our entire wider area.

Design Our New District Badge! With a new name comes the need for a new badge. Our current Three Towns badge, proudly worn since 2002, was originally designed by Alexander Dawson, a young person from the 8th St. Johns Scout Group. It has proudly represented our district for 24 years. Now, another young person has the exciting opportunity to design the brand-new Stoke-on-Trent South district badge! This competition is open to all young people across the district. This is a fantastic activity to run during your weekly programmes, and we want as many entries as possible.
